To start off, the new Ruleset that was put up recently makes no sense to me. Why is it that this league changes drastically every week?
It's as if we went from CGL -> Wogl -> Esl. I dont really understand the point. To start off, the galil doesn't need to be taken off. It isn't an over powered gun. In fact, most people would argue that the gun is nothing special. Some, however, are able to utilize it to its full potential. Those players shouldn't be punished for doing well with a mediocre gun, It just doesn't seem fair. The next complaint I have is the new pistol rule. I dont completely understand why we're trying to copy ESL and its tendencies to handicap its players with unnecessary rules. From my perspective, the pistol rule isn't too significant if you're wielding an assault rifle, or an smg, for that matter. When it gets to snipers, however, the secondary is the only line of defense in close quarters combat. Yes, fancy flashscopes and finger techniques (ZING) could be quite effective under the right conditions, but when one runs out of bullets, the pistol was THE thing to fall back to. Now, since the only pistol that those people allowed to use is the plastic BB-gun, there is nothing the sniper could do, nothing for them to fall back to.
Anyway, these are just some of my opinions on the new ruleset. Personally, I think this is a turn off. I don't see myself playing season if these are the rules we have to abide by.
Thanks,
